Our hand-built plate bowls are versatile pieces that function as both a plate and a bowl, ideal for serving a variety of dishes. Crafted in two distinct variations, one features speckled clay offering a textured, artisanal look, while the other is made from solid-colored clay with a smooth, sleek surface. This contrast allows you to choose between an eccentric, patterned aesthetic or a minimalist, modern finish, enhancing your table setting with both style and functionality.

FAQ's

FORJ; Pottery Characteristics

  • Sold individually.
  • Handmade at our home studio in Ramsey, Minnesota.

Due to the nature of this product being handmade, no two bowls are alike. Some bowls have aesthetic imperfections and are sold at a discounted price on a first-come, first-served basis. Our bowls sold with imperfections have no flaws other than aesthetically; they are still perfectly safe to use!

Product Care

Each FORJ; piece is handmade with love, care, and just the right amount of character. With proper care, your pottery can be part of your daily rituals for years to come.

Dishwasher safe? Yes—but handwashing is always gentler and will help preserve the finish over time.

Microwave safe? Most pieces are microwave safe unless noted otherwise. Avoid sudden, extreme temperature changes (like freezer to microwave), which can cause thermal shock.

Scratches or marks? Matte glazes may show signs of silverware use over time. These marks are normal for handmade ceramics and can often be removed with a gentle scrub using baking soda or Bar Keeper’s Friend.

Stains or discoloration? Soak your piece in a mixture of baking soda and warm water, or try a bit of vinegar for tougher spots. Always rinse thoroughly and dry completely before storing.

Each piece is perfectly imperfect and made to be used and loved. If you ever have a question about caring for your FORJ; pottery, just reach out: contact@forjstudio.com

Shipping

At FORJ;, we pack every order with care and intention—just like we make our pieces. Please allow 1-2 business days for processing before your item ships.

We currently ship within the U.S. via USPS and UPS, and shipping rates are calculated at checkout based on the size, weight, and destination of your order. You’ll receive a tracking number by email as soon as your order is on its way.

We are not responsible for delays caused by the carrier, but we’ll always do our best to help if your package is delayed or goes missing! If your order is marked as delivered but hasn’t arrived, we recommend first reaching out to your local postal carrier.

Whenever possible, I laser cut custom boxes and box inserts from recycled and reusable cardboard boxes to ship your order with care.

If you have any questions about your shipment, feel free to reach out: contact@forjstudio.com

Returns and Exchanges

Because our products are handmade in small batches, we do not accept returns or exchanges unless an item arrives damaged. If your order is damaged, please email a photo of the item in its original packaging to contact@forjstudio.com for a full refund. If you'd prefer a replacement or an exchange of equal value, I’ll create a new piece at no cost— you just cover the shipping.
